While Zuma and Cinnamon are out on a father-daughter-date on a boat, they see a pup that is in need of saving. The pup has nearly drowned, and Zuma's paw gets trapped in the boat. It's up to Cinnamon to save the day!

Sarah the FBI pup

Cinnamon laughed and threw her paws up in the air with glee as her father sped up the hovercraft to it's top speed. She may not be like her aunt Skye, but she felt like she was flying. Slowly they slowed down.

"Do it again Daddy!" Cinnamon cried.

"Okay!" Zuma cried as they sped up again.

"WOOHOO!" Cinnamon screamed.

"You know, it's nice to get out once and a while." Zuma said.

"Yeah! especially with you here daddy!" Cinnamon cried happily. Zuma chuckled.

"I could say the same fow you kid." he replied. Then he noticed something in the distance. He put a paw over his eye, and looked out.

"Is that....?" he whispered to himself. Zuma gasped in alarm.

"What is it daddy?" Cinnamon asked curiously. Zuma sped up the hovercraft and raced toward the bobbing object. Cinnamon looked where they were headed, and she gasped as well! There, rolling in the waves, soaking wet, barely moving, was a puppy! It was just a little bit older than Cinnamon and obviously needed help. They come up beside the pup and Zuma padded over to the other side. He reached out to grab the pup, but then a big waved knocked the Hovercraft backwards. Zuma was thrown backwards as well, and landed pretty hard on his rump. His legs were under the Hovercrafts control panel.

"are you okay Daddy?" Cinnamon asked him. Zuma tried to pull his legs out from the panel, but no matter how hard he pulled, he couldn't get them out.

"I'm stuck!" Zuma cried. Cinnamon gasped and looked around quickly, trying to find something that she could use to get him unstuck. But it was no use, there was nothing there! Maybe... in the back? Cinnamon looked back and took a step towards it, but Zuma grabbed her paw.

"No time for me, we have to save that pup out there! I'm stuck, so it's up to you." Zuma said. Cinnamon looked unsure for a moment, then she nodded. She had already had her uniform on, although she didn't know how to use it yet. She had just gotten it the day before. Cinnamon bravely looked over the edge, and jumped off. The pup was beginning to sink, so Cinnamon knew she had to hurry. She reached out... and grabbed the pup by the collar with her teeth. She dragged the pup to the Hover craft, and pulled her on board. The pup wasn't breathing... she didn't know what to do.

"We need to perform CPR. I know how to do it, but I need to get out of hewe fiwst." Zuma told Cinnamon. She nodded and hurried to look in the back. There was nothing there. Panicked, Cinnamon turned back towards her father and started pulling. Zuma pulled with her, and with a -POP- he came out. Zuma then hurriedly began pushing on the pup's chest. It took a couple tries, but finally the pup coughed up the water it had swallowed.

"W-where.... Am... I?" it asked.

"Youw safe. That is all that mattews." Zuma told the young pup. The pup was female, and she looked exhausted. Zuma turned to the controls of his Hovercraft and turned it towards the shore. They needed to get back fast. As he drove, he put a paw to his tag.

"Mawshall, Winonna, Dudes, come in!" he cried.

"Hey Zuma! Whats up?" Marshall's voice was heard.

"You need anything hon'?" Now Winonna's voice broke through.

"I need you to get down to the beach! We have a half-dwowned pup on board. We did CPR, but I want to make suwe that she didn't suffew any mowe injuwies." Zuma told them.

"Got it, I'll get down there as soon as possible." Marshall said.

"I'll be right there!" Winonna cried.

Zuma and Cinnamon watched as Winonna and Marshall checked the little pup over. Finally, Marshall padded up to Zuma.

"It doesn't seem like she sustained any injuries." He told his friend.

"Well thats good." Zuma said, and sighed with relief. He walked over to the young pup.

"So, whats youw name?" He asked.

"I-I'm S-Star." the little pup replied.

"Well then, Staw, what wewe you doing all the way out thewe?" Zuma asked her.

"I-I w-was on a boat with my parents. I was really enjoying it, and was leaning over the side. B-But suddenly, I-I was lifted up and thrown over the side! I-I called out, b-but the boat was already to far ahead for anyone to hear m-me. I-If y-you hadn't saved me, I would have d-drowned. Hey, y-you'll help me find my parents won't you?" Star asked him. Zuma and Marshall looked at each other.

"What do you mean by 'lifted and thrown out'?" Marshall asked her.

"It was really weird, it was almost as if my human had picked me up and tossed me over the side! But, he wouldn't do that! right?" Star asked, looking up at Zuma and Marshall hopefully.

"I don't know, but it kind of sounded like he did..." Marshall admitted. Star's eyes widened and she looked down at her paws crestfallen. Zuma shot him a look.

"What?" Marshall asked confused.

"So... So... It wasn't an accident?" She asked. Zuma sighed.

"No, I don't think so. I'm sowwy." Zuma said. Star sat down, and tears started to fall down her cheeks. Zuma looked down at Star, and his heart melted. Then he felt a wave of anger.

"I can't believe that someone would do something like that!" He growled. He reached down and picked up Star by her collar. He carried her to his hover craft and placed her inside. Then he did the same with Cinnamon. He drove it across the beach, and down the street.

"Where are you taking me?" Star whimpered.

"Home. I'm taking you home." Zuma told her. Cinnamon looked at her father in confusion. Surely, he couldn't know where Star lived. Then, as they went up a hill, Cinnamon smiled. Now she realized where they were going. Zuma parked his hovercraft and helped both Star and Cinnamon down. They were at the lookout. Star looked around.

"This isn't my home..." she said.

"It is now." Zuma said as he too hopped down. Star looked up at him in surprise.

"Wait... you mean..." she started, but didn't finish. Zuma smiled as Sarah and Simon raced towards them.

"Did you two have fun?" Sarah asked them. Then she saw Star.

"Oh, hello there! Are you a friend of Cinnamon's?" She asked. Star shook her head. Zuma explained to Sarah the situation, and her eyes widened. Before Star could think. Sarah wrapped her in a big hug.

"Oh, are you okay sweetie? I'm so sorry!" She cried. Star was surprised for a few seconds, then returned the hug. It felt good to be held again.

"Sarah... I want to adopt her." Zuma told his mate. Sarah looked down at Star, and she smiled warmly.

"That's fine by me! She's going to need us!" She said. Star looked at both of them and tears rolled down her cheeks.

"You'll really... You'll really adopt me?" She asked.

"Of course sweetheart! No one should be treated the way you were... We will love you just as if you really were ours." Sarah told her softly. Simon padded up to Star.

"Cool! a new sibling! I'm Simon!" he told her enthusiastically.

"And I'm your new sister Cinnamon!" Cinnamon told her. Star looked at both of them, a big smile on her face.

"I have a brother and a sister!" She exclaimed excitedly. "It was just me in my other family..."

"Come on! I wanna show you where we sleep!" Cinnamon cried, grabbing her sister's paw and pulling her towards the pup houses. Sarah and Zuma watched them warmly.

"Do you think she'll like it here?" Sarah asked her mate.

"I think she will." Zuma said.

THE END... for now....
